A 7-year-old boy was killed after being critically injured when he was hit by a car about 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
According to reports, the boy and his parents were attending a birthday party in the 5500 block of Floating Leaf Drive when the accident occurred. Officials said they believe the child’s obstructed view as well as the driver’s obstructed view played a role in the accident and this was an accident.
The child was taken to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health and died a few days later.
No charges have been filed in connection with the accident.
