Two preteens were injured, one critically, Tuesday evening when the motorized minibike they were riding hit a tree.
According to officials, the two boys, ages 9 & 11, were riding the minibike just before 8 p.m. The 11-year-old was driving the minibike, when it lost control, they crossed the street and hit the tree. Both children were taken to a local hospital.
The 9-year-old was listed in critical condition with head injuries, while the 11-year-old was listed in fair condition. Reportedly, neither child was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
