Hit and Run Prevalence in Indy

Three people dead, and one in critical condition in just two months due to four different hit and runs in the Indianapolis area. One woman was killed while walking to a bus stop, after many heartfelt pleas from the family of the victim, the driver eventually turned himself in. Another woman killed while crossing a street, the vehicle was abandoned down the road, the driver was found after trying to escape the scene with his license plates. A young child (7) is in critical condition after being hit by an unidentified driver while crossing the street in his neighborhood with some friends, nobody has come forward in this case. Father of three was killed while crossing an intersection around 10 o’clock at night. Witnesses say that he was probably hit by five different vehicles before anybody was able to approach him and call the police. This family is still seeking closure, since none of the drivers have been identified, and nobody has come forward with any additional information.
